Elon Musk\u2019s new AI company, xAI, will rollout its chatbot for X subscribers, who pay $16 a month once its exits beta. A select group of X users started testing Grok, which shall serve as a competitor to OpenAI\u2019s ChatGPT, this weekend.<\/p>\n
The owner of X, formerly known as Twitter, dished out his ambition earlier this year, as he wrote in July, that its intended purpose is \u201cto understand the true nature of the universe.\u201d<\/p>\n
Grok\u2019s notable feature, which according to Musk will be a massive advantage over other models, is its real-time access to information published on X. Rival chatbots are limited to the information fed to their model. If Grok constantly pulls new information from X, it could have an edge. However, it could also be more liable to the horrible biases of AI models, not to mention the parsing of mass of misinformation swirling around on the rebranded social media platform.<\/p>\n
Apart from subscriptions for access to chabot, X is looking for other ways make money. The company has been attempting to find buyers for inactive user handles.
