Wow Network, a major internet service provider, experienced widespread outages on Wednesday morning, leaving hundreds of customers across the U.S. without reliable internet access. According to outage tracking reports, more than 1,700 users reported disruptions, with the majority facing complete connectivity loss or intermittent service.
The issue began around 7 a.m. ET, according to users who flooded social media and forums to voice their frustrations. Many reported that their connection had been “in and out” since the previous night, with no clear resolution in sight. The outages appeared to be concentrated in key areas across the country, though reports suggested a scattered, nationwide impact.
Downdetector, a platform that tracks real-time issues with various online services, confirmed the spike in complaints. Users reported problems with both residential and business internet connections, severely affecting remote workers, students, and businesses reliant on stable internet access.
Wow Network has yet to provide a detailed explanation of the cause of the outage. In a brief statement, the company acknowledged the issue, saying, “We are aware of the service disruption affecting customers in multiple regions and are actively working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience.”
For many, the lack of information only compounded the frustration. “It’s been going on for hours with no real update. I rely on this for work, and I can’t afford this kind of downtime,” said one user from Michigan.
As the outage persists, customers are encouraged to monitor the company’s official channels for updates. Wow Network has assured customers that it is working to restore services, but there is no estimated timeline for when full connectivity will be restored.
