As excitement builds around upcoming Spider-Man villain-centric movies, Venom 3 is generating significant buzz among superhero fans. The third installment, rumored to be titled Venom: The Last Dance, is directed by Kelly Marcel and co-written by Marcel and Tom Hardy. It’s set to hit theaters on October 25, 2024.
Will we finally see Spider-Man in Venom 3?
A major talking point is the inclusion of Peter Parker. Unlike his usual portrayal as Spider-Man, Peter in this film will be a 10-year-old without his iconic powers. According to rumors from the YouTube channel 3C Films, the plot revolves around Venom becoming aware that Peter will eventually gain powers and be responsible for killing both the symbiote and Eddie Brock in the future. This revelation prompts Eddie and Venom to target the young Peter, but Eddie ultimately decides to protect him instead.
The movie is also rumored to introduce other symbiotes, notably Toxin, who in the comics is the offspring of Carnage. Toxin is set to merge with Detective Peter Mulligan, adding another layer of complexity to the storyline. Additionally, it’s speculated that Toxin will spawn more symbiotes, posing a significant threat to San Francisco.
Juno Temple’s character, Lieutenant Patricia Robertson, is rumored to merge with one of the new symbiotes, becoming a key figure in the fight against these threats. Robertson is also suggested to be Eddie’s new love interest, adding personal stakes to the narrative.
One of the most intriguing rumors is the introduction of The Jury, a group of vigilantes dedicated to hunting and eliminating symbiotes. In the comics, The Jury is known for their brutal efficiency. In the film, they are purportedly led by Chiwetel Ejiofor’s character, motivated by revenge for his son’s death at the hands of Carnage.
While these details are yet to be officially confirmed, they paint a picture of a complex and thrilling storyline for Venom: The Last Dance. Fans eagerly await further announcements and the eventual release of the film, hoping for a blend of action, drama, and the unique dynamics that have come to define the Venom series.
