Fans have been wanting to see Baki-Dou since it was first announced by Netflix. The series is a graphic portrayal of the brutality of martial arts fighting in a scenario where Baki Hanma (and the other underground fighters) are up against Musashi Miyamoto (the samurai who has returned from the dead) in an arena-style battle with high stakes involved. Fans cannot wait for Season 2, and they will see new over-the-top fights and intense power clashes, emphasizes the philosophical meaning of strength, and depicts visceral action in the trademark extreme style of this franchise, just as they saw in Season 1 (when it premiered on Netflix in Feb. 2026). The series’ huge success and the manga’s hanging end indicates that Netflix may bring Baki-Dou back soon.
Baki Dou Season 2: Renewal Status
There is currently no official confirmation of a second season for “Baki-Dou” (alternatively known as “Baki-Dou: The Immortal Samurai”). The show has not been renewed or cancelled as of now.
The most recent addition to the “Baki” animated series is “Baki-Dou,” which premiered on Netflix on February 26, 2026. All 13 episodes became available on Netflix at once. “Baki-Dou” is based upon Keisuke Itagaki’s manga series “Baki Dō: Musashi Miyamoto” which features a fictional reincarnation of the Samurai Musashi in contemporary times fighting with the other participants of the underground shooting range, such as Baki Hanma and his fellow fighters.
As of early March, approximately two weeks following the debut of all 13 episodes of the show, Netflix has yet to announce whether a second season will be produced or when it might take place. However, none of Netflix’s outlets, such as their Tudum website, anime news websites or even fan-submitted sites providing updates on such matters, such as Reddit’s Grappler Baki group have verified anything thus far regarding the status of “Baki-Dou.”
All 13 episodes merely cover a small portion (the beginning) of the storyline of the “Musashi” Manga by Keisuke Itagaki; therefore, substantial material remains unresolved, including some of the largest battle scenes and character development.
Other likewise successful series with “Baki,” such as “Baki Hanma,” have received expedited renewal following their initial shows for only a portion of the viewership received for the first seasons.
Netflix has consistently announced renewal of series shortly after they receive substantial audience numbers for their initial release; however, they have yet to make any such announcement regarding “Baki-Dou.”
