Regé-Jean Page and Phoebe Dynevor, who brought the beloved Season 1 couple Simon Basset and Daphne Bridgerton to life in Bridgerton, have finally addressed the lingering question of whether they’ll be returning for Season 4. Dynevor, in a recent chat with The Direct, made it clear that she hasn’t been approached about coming back to the show. She admitted, “I mean, they’ve not called me yet,” and noted that production is already underway, saying, “And I think they’re shooting season 4 right now. So, I’m still waiting for that call.”

Meanwhile, Page was equally diplomatic when Entertainment Tonight asked him about his potential return. He expressed genuine support for the cast, saying, “I’m very happy to support everyone who’s in the show. Everyone’s finding fantastic success, both with the show and personal projects.” As for making a comeback himself, he admitted it’s not something he’s been seriously considering, as he’s currently focused on other work.

Season 4 of Bridgerton is shaping up to be a major ensemble event. It will center on Benedict Bridgerton’s romance with Sophie Beckett, introducing newcomer Yerin Ha opposite Luke Thompson. Fan-favorite couples from Seasons 2 and 3 are also set to return. Simone Ashley and Jonathan Bailey, who play Kate and Anthony Bridgerton, will be back, as confirmed by US Weekly. Nicola Coughlan and Luke Newton, who portrayed the central couple of Season 3, Penelope and Colin, will also reprise their roles. Coughlan told The Wrap, “They’ve told us we’re back for season 4, which is super lovely… It’ll be exciting. We’ll pop back and have some fun for sure.”
