Will Jennifer Aniston’s stalker be free?

Jimmy Wayne Carwyle, the man accused of stalking Jennifer Aniston, has been told by the court that he is not mentally well enough to go to trial. He had crashed his car into the gate of Jennifer Aniston’s home in Bel Air, but now the court has stopped the case for the moment because of his mental health.

At a recent court hearing, Judge Maria Cavalluzzi said that after two mental health doctors examined Carwyle, both agreed he is not currently able to understand or take part in a trial. So, the court has paused the criminal case against him for now.

The lawyer for Carwyle, Robert Krauss, said that this decision wasn’t what his client wanted. Even though the trial is on hold, the court will decide what kind of treatment Carwyle needs. If he gets better later, the trial could start again.

The problem started on May 5, when Carwyle, who is 48 years old, drove his car into the fence outside Jennifer Aniston’s house. Police say this happened after weeks of Carwyle bothering Jennifer with many voicemails, emails, and messages on social media.

Carwyle had said he was not guilty of the charges of stalking and damaging property. Because of this, the judge ordered mental health tests to see if he could go to trial.

Jennifer Aniston was home during the crash but didn’t meet Carwyle. Her security team stopped him until the police arrived. Prosecutors also said the case is serious because there was a threat that someone could get hurt badly.
