Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma seem to be living their dream life in London — calm, private, and far away from the usual media noise. They’ve been keeping things low-key, rarely making public appearances, but they still make time to connect warmly with their friends and colleagues whenever possible. Recently, Indian cricketer Jemimah Rodrigues shared a sweet story from one of those meet-ups that quickly became the internet’s favorite moment.

In a chat with Mashable India, Jemimah opened up about meeting Virat and Anushka during India’s tour of New Zealand. She recalled how she and her teammate Smriti Mandhana wanted some batting advice from Kohli, and what started as a casual cricket chat turned into a four-hour-long heart-to-heart conversation. Jemimah said they first asked for his permission to talk about batting, and the discussion began there. Soon after, Virat and Anushka joined them at a café in the hotel where both teams were staying.

According to Jemimah, the first half hour was all about cricket — techniques, mindset, and approach. But then, the conversation slowly drifted toward life, success, and personal growth. She fondly remembered how Virat told them, “You both have the power to change women’s cricket, and I can see that happening.” That one line, Jemimah said, stuck with her deeply.

She went on to describe the meeting as one of those rare, soulful moments where time just flies. “It felt like a few long-lost friends who met and spoke. The only reason we stopped was because the café staff kicked us out,” she laughed, recalling the wholesome experience.

Meanwhile, Virat and Anushka are continuing to enjoy their peaceful days in London. The couple has been seen spending a lot of time with their kids, Vamika and Akaay, away from the chaos of Mumbai. Fans often spot them strolling through parks, visiting cafes, and simply soaking in family time. Virat has been kind enough to take selfies with fans who bump into him during his outings, while Anushka seems completely focused on family life for now.

She hasn’t signed any new film projects recently, and there are even reports suggesting that her much-awaited Chakda Xpress might not release as planned. Still, both Virat and Anushka seem content, prioritizing a slower, more grounded life in London — one filled with love, laughter, and the company of their closest people.
