Why were Diddy’s homes raided and what did Homeland Security find?

On March 25th, Homeland Security conducted two raids, one in Los Angeles and the other in Miami, targeting properties associated with Sean “Diddy” Combs. While the Los Angeles mansion was not registered under his name but under one of his daughters’ and Bad Boy Films, a subgroup of his record label, the Miami property was registered under Combs’ name. The raids were part of an ongoing federal sex trafficking investigation, with HSI agents seizing boxes of evidence and detaining individuals, including Combs’ sons, Justin and King, who were in the Los Angeles mansion at the time.

These raids were carried out by HSI New York, as the case against Combs is based there, with assistance from HSI Los Angeles and Miami. Further raids are planned on Combs’ properties in New York. The Human Trafficking Task Force division of Homeland Security Investigations is leading the investigation, having already interviewed three women and one man about sex trafficking, racketeering, and domestic violence charges.

The allegations against Combs stem from a 2023 lawsuit by his ex-girlfriend, Cassandra Ventura, also known as Cassie, who accused him of sexual and physical assault during their 13-year relationship. Ventura’s lawsuit, filed under the Adult Survivors Act, led to numerous other accusations against Combs, including sexual harassment, sex trafficking, and rape. Additional lawsuits have been filed by Liza Gardner, Joi Dickerson-Neal, and a Jane Doe accuser, all alleging sexual assault and misconduct by Combs.

In response, Combs has denied all allegations, claiming they are attempts to destroy his reputation and legacy. However, the recent raids on his properties indicate the seriousness with which these cases are being pursued. During the raids, HSI agents were seen carrying out electronics such as phones and computers, along with other evidence. Combs was not present at either property during the raids, having reportedly arrived in the Caribbean via private jet on the same day.
