Millie Bobby Brown has come a long way since stepping into the role of Eleven on Netflix’s Stranger Things. In the past decade, she’s become one of the most influential young stars in the world, starred in seven films, launched her own fashion and beauty brand, married Jake Bongiovi, and welcomed a daughter through adoption.
The couple recently celebrated their first wedding anniversary on September 21. Millie shared on Instagram, “1 year married. I love being your wife.” Jake responded, “One year in the books, many more to go. I love you so much my beautiful wife. Happy anniversary.” After their wedding, Millie officially added her husband’s surname, becoming Millie Bobby Brown Bongiovi.
However, it turns out that even the “Bobby” in her name isn’t her real middle name. In an interview earlier this year, she revealed that her full name is actually Millie Bonnie Brown Bongiovi. She chose “Bobby” in honor of her father, Robert Brown, but admitted she changed it for fun. On the press tour for Netflix’s Electric State, she told Chris Pratt it was all done “for sh**s and giggles.”
Fans loved the revelation. One person tweeted, “Imagine being famous enough to rebrand your own name just for fun.” Another wrote, “Millie Bobby Brown definitely knows how to keep things fun and unexpected.”
Millie is also gearing up for the fifth and final season of Stranger Things, which will air in three parts across November and December 2025. Four episodes drop on November 26, three on Christmas Day, and the final one on New Year’s Eve. Millie has called this her favorite season yet, saying it has the best storytelling she’s ever been part of.
