After weeks of rumors about a possible split, Kanye West and his wife, Bianca Censori, are now united—and taking legal action. According to E! News, the couple has sent a notice of intent to sue Kanye’s former dentist, Dr. Thomas Connelly, accusing him of medical malpractice and contributing to a serious health crisis.
The legal filing, obtained by the outlet, claims that Dr. Connelly gave Kanye excessive amounts of nitrous oxide, also known as laughing gas, during dental treatments from 2024 to 2025. The filing alleges this led to Kanye developing an addiction and being left to “fend for himself” while struggling with the effects.
Even more alarming, the rapper’s legal team claims that the dentist delivered a large tank of nitrous oxide to Kanye’s home, allowing him to inhale the gas outside of a medical setting. The document also accuses Connelly of teaching Kanye how to self-administer the gas, continuing to supply it even when the artist began showing signs of neurological distress and erratic behavior.
The lawyers also suggest that Connelly used other heavy sedatives, including substances similar to propofol (a powerful drug often used in hospitals), and then released Kanye without proper medical checks. According to the filing, this negligence caused the rapper serious physical and mental harm, resulting in emergency medical attention and long-term health issues.
The complaint further states that Kanye has suffered neurological damage, psychological trauma, and emotional distress. His team claims that the addiction and health problems only began because of the dentist’s actions, and that his recovery has brought ongoing pain and disruption to both his personal and professional life.
Bianca Censori is also named in the notice, as her attorneys claim she’s had to witness her husband’s decline and now carries the emotional and practical burden of caring for him. The filing says she’s been “deprived of the companionship and support” of her husband and forced to watch his “distress and deterioration.”
The couple’s legal team says the damages continue to grow as Kanye works to heal and return to his creative work.
