Nick Jonas recently opened up about the charming and cinematic first meeting with his wife, Priyanka Chopra, revealing details that sound straight out of a romantic film. In an interview with GQ magazine, Nick recalled that the first time they met at the 2017 Vanity Fair Oscars party, after months of texting, he “got down on one knee” and jokingly asked, “Where have you been all my life?” He emphasized that although it felt like a proposal moment, it was a playful gesture, and the actual proposal came much later.
Their connection started in 2016 when Nick reached out to Priyanka on X (formerly Twitter), saying, “I’m hearing from a few mutual friends that we should meet.” At the time, Priyanka was going through a tough relationship and didn’t want to engage much. Reflecting on this in a previous interview, Priyanka shared that while she initially brushed him off—partly due to their age difference (she was 35, and he was 25)—they stayed in touch over the years with occasional texts.

The couple got engaged in Crete in July 2018 while celebrating Priyanka’s birthday. The engagement was confirmed in August 2018 with a heartwarming Instagram post from Nick: “Future Mrs. Jonas. My heart. My love.” They tied the knot on December 1, 2018, in a beautiful ceremony in Jodhpur, India. In 2022, Nick and Priyanka welcomed their daughter, Malti, via surrogate, adding another chapter to their love story.
