American media personality Khloé Kardashian recently opened up about the challenges she faced in naming her son during an appearance on the SHE MD podcast, co-hosted by Dr. Thaïs Aliabadi, on Tuesday, May 7. Khloé, who welcomed her baby boy via surrogate in July 2023, shared the unique journey she underwent in deciding on the perfect name for her son.
Khloé explained that she initially had a cute nickname for her son but struggled to settle on an official name for about eight months. Describing her preference for unique yet not overly unconventional names, she revealed her hesitation in adding more uniqueness to the already distinct names within her family circle.
The process of naming her son was further complicated by the fact that she didn’t carry him herself, leading her to feel less connected initially. While she affectionately referred to him as “baby” or “Papa,” Khloé admitted to the challenge of finding a name that truly resonated with her.
In contrast to her experience with her daughter, True, whom she felt a strong spiritual connection with during her pregnancy, Khloé confessed that bonding with her son took longer. She candidly shared her feelings of guilt and the disparity between her bonding experiences with each child.
During a recent episode of The Kardashians season 3, Khloé expressed her sentiments about her journey with her son, acknowledging the difference in bonding experiences between him and her daughter.
Despite her initial struggles, Khloé emphasized that she is now completely devoted to her son, Tatum. She underscored the importance of discussing her surrogacy experience and encouraged others undergoing similar journeys to be patient and kind to themselves, recognizing the uniqueness of each individual experience.
In addition to navigating the complexities of motherhood, Khloé welcomed a new furry family member, a kitten named Baby Kitty, to celebrate her daughter True’s 6th birthday, showcasing the joy and love that continues to flourish within her family.
