Corey Feldman is making headlines again, but this time it’s for his professional comeback on Dancing With the Stars, premiering September 16, 2025, on ABC and Disney+. While fans anticipate seeing him on the dance floor, Feldman is also navigating the messy end of his third marriage to Courtney Anne Mitchell.

Why Corey Feldman and Courtney Anne Mitchell divorced

Corey Feldman and Courtney began dating in 2012 and married in Las Vegas in 2016, following his separation from his second wife. After nearly seven years together, they decided to part ways in August 2021. Feldman cited “irreconcilable differences” in court filings as the reason for the split.

Courtney later revealed that her struggles with health issues following COVID-19, including chronic fatigue syndrome and hives, made it difficult for her to accompany Corey on tours. She also said that stepping away from partying and recreational drugs gave her clarity about their growing distance. She explained:

“We have been through so much together and still have much love and respect for each other. There is no one to blame. This is a case of life becoming really hard, Courtney dealing with health issues, and two people who have grown apart and now find themselves at a crossroads.”

Divorce proceedings and financial disputes

The divorce turned contentious over finances. Feldman filed for divorce in 2023, claiming he was drowning in debt, including unpaid taxes of nearly $192,000 and $42,000 in credit card balances as of November 2024. He reported earning just over $2,500 per month, arguing he couldn’t afford higher spousal support.

Courtney, however, alleged that Corey earned more than he claimed from band tours, fan conventions, cameo videos, and Funko dolls. She argued that the $2,000 per month he provided was insufficient and requested a raise to $5,000, while she was working as a barista and struggling with health expenses.

In short, their divorce was influenced by a combination of health struggles, growing apart, and financial disagreements, making the separation both personal and complicated.
