Bruce Springsteen’s life will soon be portrayed on the big screen in the upcoming film Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere, with Jeremy Allen White taking on the role of the legendary musician. The film, which centers on the making of Springsteen’s iconic 1982 album Nebraska, promises to offer a deeply personal glimpse into a significant period of his life.
In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Springsteen opened up about how the film touches on some of the most painful days he has experienced. He admitted that he often chose to avoid being on set during the shooting of especially emotional scenes to allow the cast the space they needed. Springsteen also praised Jeremy Allen White for being incredibly patient and tolerant whenever the musician did visit the set. He humorously shared that he told White to simply give him a look if he was ever in the way, and he would happily leave.
Despite the difficult emotions involved in revisiting those moments, Springsteen described the experience as enjoyable and fun whenever he was present. The movie, directed by Scott Cooper, will hit theaters on October 24 and aims to capture both the struggles and triumphs behind one of Springsteen’s most enduring works. Fans can look forward to a raw, intimate portrayal of the artist’s journey during the creation of Nebraska.
