Justin Bieber is making headlines again, and this time it’s not about new music—it’s about parenting choices. The pop star recently shared a batch of photos featuring his baby boy, Jack, and fans had mixed reactions, especially after spotting something in the background that didn’t sit right with them.
In the first picture, Justin looks like your typical laid-back dad—rocking a black hoodie and shorts, holding his little one up in the air while smiling ear to ear. Baby Jack, who’s about 10 months old now, seemed happy and safe in his dad’s arms. Everything looked cute and wholesome… until fans swiped to the next photo.
That’s when things got a bit controversial.
In one of the later slides, Justin is seen smoking what appears to be a joint on the couch. What really got fans talking was the fact that in another photo, he placed baby Jack on that exact same couch. While it wasn’t confirmed whether Jack was exposed to smoke or not, the image was enough to spark a storm of online criticism.
Justin captioned the post with a chill, “Gonna be a good summer,” clearly feeling relaxed—but the internet didn’t share his vibe.
Almost immediately after the post went up, people flooded the comments. One user sarcastically asked, “Walk me through your photo selection process,” while another more directly stated, “I hope that baby wasn’t exposed to marijuana smoke…”
Many were worried that Justin might not be making the best choices around his son. Some even called on Hailey Bieber, Justin’s wife, to step in and keep a closer eye on what he posts—and does—with their child.
However, not everyone was upset. A few fans came to Justin’s defense, pointing out that while he was smoking in the post, it didn’t appear that he was doing it in front of Jack. “He’s not even smoking in the same photo as the baby,” one supporter commented.
Justin and Hailey welcomed baby Jack in August 2024. They made the big announcement with a sweet Instagram post showing their son’s tiny hand wrapped in Hailey’s. Since then, they’ve been pretty private about Jack—rarely showing his face online and keeping him out of the media spotlight as much as possible.
But even with their attempts at privacy, celebrity life comes with its fair share of scrutiny—and this latest post is proof of that.
As the summer kicks off, Justin may just have to think twice about what he shares online, especially when it involves baby Jack. After all, fans are watching—and they have a lot to say.
