Kristen Bell has always been a big fan of Antonio Banderas, and she recently shared some amusing stories about her teenage crush during her appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live. The actress, who is receiving praise for her performance in Netflix’s Nobody Wants This, revealed that she once had a poster of Banderas—specifically one of him in a speedo—hanging on her bedroom wall.
As she reminisced about her early romance with her husband, Dax Shepard, she recounted a funny moment when he discovered the poster while checking out her teen room. Bell admitted that she had put it up to keep up with her friends, thinking nothing of it. But when Shepard opened the closet door and saw the large, sexy poster of Banderas, his reaction was priceless. She recalled him exclaiming, “This poster, huh. Antonio B in a speedo? Okay, let’s go.”
While Bell thought it was no big deal, Kimmel playfully questioned whether she genuinely liked Banderas or just picked the first attractive poster she could find. Bell laughed it off, explaining that the poster was eventually taken down, but years later, after they got married, Shepard’s podcast co-host, Monica Padman, gifted them a similar Antonio Banderas poster, which hung above their bed for about six months.
In addition to the poster story, Bell also addressed some lighthearted rumors about her and Shepard allegedly hosting swinger parties. Speaking with Drew Barrymore, she revealed that they received numerous texts from friends jokingly asking why they weren’t invited. One message from Kimmel read, “My feelings are quite hurt that Molly and I weren’t invited to this swingers party.” Bell quickly clarified that they are definitely not hosting any swinger parties, setting the record straight in a humorous way.
