Marco Perego’s artistic journey began in 2016 with a deeply personal project. Moved by the tragic plight of children migrating from Syria to Italy, Perego created a sculpture memorializing their lives. Using 714 pairs of shoes filled with concrete, symbolizing the lost children, the sculpture now stands on display in a museum in Vancouver, Canada.
