Jake Paul and his longtime girlfriend, Jutta Leerdam, are officially engaged! The YouTuber-turned-boxer proposed to the Dutch speed skater in a romantic setting surrounded by white candles and roses. Paul shared the happy news on Instagram on March 22, posting photos of himself on one knee with the caption, “We’re engaged. We can’t wait to spend forever together.”
Leerdam also shared the engagement photos, proudly displaying her oval-cut diamond ring. She reposted a message on her Instagram stories that read, “Find someone that makes you jump for joy,” and added, “on heels hahahaha.”
The couple has been together for about two years. Their relationship began after Paul messaged Leerdam on Instagram, inviting her to be on his podcast, as she revealed in the documentary Countdown: Paul vs. Tyson.
Jutta Leerdam is a well-known professional speed skater from the Netherlands. She won a silver medal in the women’s 1000-meter event at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, and has since won six gold medals at the European Championships. Before she began speed skating at age 11, Leerdam played field hockey. She quickly rose to the top of her sport, training on tracks around her hometown of ‘s-Gravenzande.
The couple made their relationship public in April 2024 when Paul posted a picture with Leerdam, jokingly captioning it, “I’m Dutch now.” They have supported each other’s careers, with Paul attending her skating events and Leerdam cheering for him during his boxing matches.
In November 2024, Leerdam was by Paul’s side when he fought former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson in a Netflix-streamed boxing match. Paul won by unanimous decision and reportedly earned $40 million from the fight.
Leerdam also appears alongside Paul in the reality show Paul American on Max, which follows Jake and his brother Logan Paul’s lives, with Logan’s fiancée, Danish supermodel Nina Agdal, also making appearances. In a June 2023 YouTube video, Paul shared that they often navigate a long-distance relationship due to their respective training schedules, but they continue to support each other through it all.
