What sets them apart is that even before their official debut, the production trio 3racha, consisting of Bang Chan and fellow members Changbin and Han, was formed during their trainee days.

Bang Chan, originally named Christopher Chahn Bahng, was born in Seoul, South Korea, on October 3, 1997, and was raised in Sydney, Australia, giving him fluency in both Korean and English. He comes from a family of three siblings, including a brother named Lucas and a sister named Hannah, who is a content creator and singer. At the young age of 13, Bang Chan passed the 2010 JYP Entertainment Global Audition in Sydney, marking the start of his journey as a trainee under the company.
Prior to the Stray Kids survival show in 2017, Bang Chan formed 3racha with Changbin and Han. They released their first self-produced mixtape on Soundcloud, showcasing their talents before the group’s official debut.
Bang Chan officially debuted with Stray Kids upon the release of “District 9” and the EP “I Am Not” in 2018. Throughout their career, he has been a key figure in producing almost all of Stray Kids’ tracks, often collaborating with his 3racha comrades. Not only is Bang Chan involved in music production, but he’s also a prolific lyricist, contributing significantly to tracks like “Maniac.”
