Ashley Park, who plays Mindy Chen on Emily in Paris, is getting ready to head back to Europe to film Season 5 of the popular Netflix show. She told Life & Style that filming will start soon, and she’s busy packing for the summer shoot.
Ashley is super excited to explore more of Rome and Paris on screen, two cities she really loves. The last season ended on a big cliffhanger with Camille calling off her wedding and Mindy preparing for the Eurovision Song Contest with her band.
She said this new season will dig deeper into the characters’ lives, especially Mindy’s personal and musical journey. Even though Mindy is chasing pop stardom in the show, Ashley has her own dreams too — she’d love to be back performing on Broadway someday. She’s done five shows before but hasn’t been on stage in a while, and whether it’s a classic or something new, it would be amazing to return.
Despite her worldwide fame from the show, Ashley stays down to earth. Filming in Europe was a first for her and really changed her perspective. She says she still feels like herself but now appreciates connection, peace, and close relationships even more.
Looking ahead, Ashley also joked about having a blast doing an action movie like Charlie’s Angels with her friend Florence Pugh — something she says would be a ton of fun.
