Eagle-eyed fans think they may have spotted Harry Styles in Rome on May 8, during the first public speech by the newly elected Pope Leo XIV. The Grammy-winning singer, known for his surprising public appearances, was reportedly seen in the crowd at St. Peter’s Square wearing sunglasses and a baseball cap that read “Techno Is My Boyfriend.”
Pope Leo XIV, formerly Robert Francis Prevost, became the new pontiff following the death of Pope Francis, who led the Catholic Church for 12 years. Prevost is the first American cardinal chosen for the role, while Pope Leo hails originally from Chicago but served as a Peruvian archbishop.
Styles, who has kept a low profile in public, recently surprised fans by running the Tokyo Marathon in March, finishing in over three hours. Social media quickly picked up the potential Vatican sighting, with fans marveling at his unpredictable lifestyle—from music awards to marathons and now possibly attending the pope’s speech.
