Fans of Fairy Tail have been eagerly awaiting the return of Natsu, Lucy, and Erza, and after five long years, their patience is finally being rewarded. The sequel to Fairy Tail, titled Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest, is set to debut on screens in July 2024, much to the excitement of fans worldwide.

The announcement was made by Shonen Magazine, confirming both the month of the initial broadcast and additional details about the anime. Shinji Ishihira will serve as the Chief Director, with Toshinori Watanabe as the Director, and the animation studio J.C.STAFF will be responsible for bringing the series to life.

While the original Fairy Tail series was animated by A-1 Pictures, this sequel will see a change in animation studio. J.C.STAFF, known for their work on series such as Toradora! and the second season of One Punch Man, will be taking the reins for this project.

Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest picks up where the original series left off, with Natsu and the Fairy Tail guild embarking on a never-before-completed mission known as the “100 Years Quest.” Set one year after the defeat of Zeref and Acnologia, the guild sets off to the northern continent of Guiltina to accomplish this formidable task.
