Justin Baldoni appears to be focusing on healing and quality time with his family following the recent developments in his legal dispute with Blake Lively. The It Ends With Us actor has taken a break from the intensity of courtroom drama to enjoy a serene getaway in Costa Rica with his wife and children. Amid the legal and emotional whirlwind, a source close to Baldoni confirmed to People Magazine that the actor is making the most of a peaceful vacation, describing it as a much-needed breather. Recently, he was even spotted at the beach with a surfboard, soaking up the tropical calm. A video of him enjoying his day in the sun was shared online as a Father’s Day tribute, posted on Reddit just a week after the case’s latest update.
This family outing follows the dismissal of Baldoni’s $400 million defamation lawsuit against his It Ends With Us co-star, Blake Lively. The legal feud began in December 2024, when Lively accused Baldoni of sexual harassment and orchestrating a smear campaign against her. Not long after, Baldoni countered with claims of defamation and extortion against Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds. However, on June 9, a judge ruled to dismiss Baldoni’s primary suit. Despite this, the court allowed him the option to refile certain elements of the case—specifically regarding breach of implied contract and tortious interference—by June 23.
Lively responded to the court’s decision on her Instagram Stories, addressing the toll that retaliatory lawsuits can take. She expressed relief and solidarity with others who have faced similar battles, stating that while her case was dismissed, not everyone has the resources to fight such legal challenges. Lively reaffirmed her commitment to advocating for women’s rights, especially when it comes to preserving their safety, dignity, and autonomy.
As the legal dust settles for now, Baldoni seems to be using this time to regroup privately, leaning into fatherhood and family life away from the spotlight. Whether the legal dispute will escalate further remains to be seen, but for now, he appears to be choosing personal peace over public conflict.
