In October 2025, viral posts claiming he had died in a car accident caused widespread panic among fans — but fact-checkers have confirmed that the rumours are completely false.
Earlier this month, misleading posts on YouTube, Facebook, and X (formerly Twitter) alleged that Khaby Lame had been killed in a car crash. Some of these posts even included photos of a mangled vehicle, falsely suggesting it belonged to the creator. Since Khaby doesn’t share frequent updates about his personal life, the speculation spread rapidly, amassing thousands of views and comments.
However, within hours, fact-checking outlets including Reuters and Snopes debunked the claims, confirming that no credible media outlet or official representative had reported any such incident. Investigations revealed that the false posts originated from clickbait websites designed to lure users for traffic or phishing scams.
