Sofía Vergara has expressed interest in participating in a potential revival of “Modern Family.” The actress, who played the beloved character Gloria, mentioned in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter that she would eagerly reprise her role if the opportunity arose. Although the show has only been off the air for four years, Vergara admitted she is unsure if a revival would be a good idea but would participate for the experience.

During her conversation on The Hollywood Reporter podcast, Vergara also opened up about her childhood in Colombia, sharing her experiences during the height of Narco trafficking in the ’70s, ’80s, and ’90s. She recounted how the pervasive drug trade affected every aspect of life in Colombia, saying, “I grew up in Colombia in the ’70s, the ’80s, and the ’90s, and as you know, that was the time when Narco traffic, unfortunately, was touching the lives of every single person in Colombia.”

Vergara described the difficult times her country faced, mentioning the widespread kidnappings and bombings. She revealed that her brother became involved with a gang and was tragically killed at a young age. Reflecting on the period, she said, “It was really rough times for the country, for families. It was heartbreaking, but it was not only happening to me; it was happening to a lot of people in Colombia.”
