Milo Ventimiglia and Mandy Moore, known for their roles as Jack and Rebecca Pearson in This Is Us, shared a surprising off-screen moment. Ventimiglia recently revealed that while filming a heated scene, he swore at Moore—a first for the kind-hearted actress.
During a podcast, Ventimiglia reminisced about a particularly intense scene. He emphasized how deeply he and Moore were caught up in the moment’s emotions, leading to an off-script exchange. “In the middle of a take, things were kind of going in a direction,” Ventimiglia said. Feeling defensive as Jack, he let an “F— you!” slip out.
Confirming this surprising revelation, Moore laughed, saying, “Yeah, no one’s said ‘f– you’ to me.”
Ventimiglia explained that the scene required them to portray a tense argument. Both actors were so immersed in their characters that they lost themselves in the moment. He recalled that while filming, Moore even put her finger under his chin and pulled his face back to look at her as she firmly stated, “Look me in the f—ing face!”
Although the scene was cut due to language restrictions, Ventimiglia still has the uncut footage. Describing it as “incredible,” he noted that the intensity of the scene showcased the strong bond they formed while working together.
This Is Us chemistry
