Alphabet’s Waymo has launched a new service called “Waymo for Business.” It lets companies set up accounts so employees can take robotaxi rides for work travel. The program is now live in Los Angeles, Phoenix, San Francisco, Austin, and Atlanta.
The idea is to make regular corporate travel easier. Employers can control when, where, and how staff use the rides.
The program comes with an admin portal. Companies can manage users, create promo codes, and pull reports to track rides and budgets.
Waymo said this is just the first version. More features will be added to suit organizations of different sizes. Carvana, the used-car marketplace, is one of the first clients.
Waymo also shared that it is now completing over 1 million rides each month. In cities like San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Phoenix, about one in six local riders already use Waymo to commute to work.
