Jujutsu Kaisen fans were shocked when Gege Akutami revealed that the cursed spirits humans have been exorcising for generations are actually Kalyans, deeply connected to the Simurians. This made a clash between humans and Simurians inevitable. The confrontation started peacefully, but things quickly went out of control in chapter 12 of JJK Modulo.
In this chapter, Usami and Jabaloma tried to handle the situation calmly. In the JJK Modulo timeline, Tokyo is the only city still full of cursed spirits. The humans’ efforts to purify Tokyo triggered Boro’s third eye, and the Simurian realized humans had been killing Kalyans all along.
Usami, Jabaloma, and Cross went to Tokyo to calm the rising tensions. Cross pointed out that if the cursed spirits were the true Kalyans, the mental strain on the Simurians would have been far worse. After investigating, Cross concluded that the cursed spirits were not the same Kalyans the Simurians revere. With this resolved, Usami and Jabaloma apologized to each other and decided to take a break.
But peace didn’t last long. A human sorcerer mistakenly thought Cross was reaching for a weapon and shot him. Cross was badly injured, with multiple bullets in his body. The Simurians were enraged. They declared they would kill every sorcerer present, even though Jabaloma tried to calm them down.
As humans and Simurians prepared to fight, Dabura arrived on the battlefield. His intentions are still unclear, but his presence alone, as a Sukuna-level threat, terrified everyone. The worst fears came true: a full-scale war between humans and Simurians has begun, and now Dabura is involved.
It seems unlikely that any human can reason with the Simurians now. Fans will have to wait to see whether Dabura will try to stop the war or take command of it. The next chapter promises to be intense and full of surprises.
