For the first time since being linked to Leonardo DiCaprio, model Vittoria Ceretti has broken her silence about their relationship. In an interview with Vogue France, the Italian beauty touched on her connection with the Oscar-winning actor, referring to him simply as a “very, very famous actor.”
While she kept most details under wraps, Ceretti revealed that she first met DiCaprio in Milan. However, she made it clear that she dislikes how the public often labels relationships, which is why she prefers to keep her personal life out of the spotlight.
“As soon as you’re in a relationship with someone more famous than you, you become ‘girlfriend of’ or ‘boyfriend of’—and that can be extremely annoying.”
She went on to express frustration with being reduced to someone’s ex or current partner, rather than being seen for her own career and achievements.
“It’s not nice to think that you can’t love whoever you want because of the labels people need to stick on you.”
Despite the downsides, Ceretti admitted that dating an A-lister like DiCaprio has been an eye-opening experience.
When asked about Titanic, one of DiCaprio’s most iconic films, she had a simple yet relatable response:
