Vanessa Hudgens is officially expecting baby number two, and she shared the joyful news in the most heartfelt way possible. On Saturday, July 12, the High School Musical alum revealed her pregnancy in a glowing Instagram post that simply read, “Round two!!!!” The post featured photos of Hudgens proudly showing off her baby bump while smiling beside her husband, former MLB player Cole Tucker.
The announcement comes just a year after the couple welcomed their first child in July 2024. Vanessa had originally shared news of her first pregnancy on the red carpet at the 2024 Oscars, where she co-hosted the pre-show in a fitted black gown that beautifully highlighted her growing bump. Since then, the couple has maintained a relatively low profile when it comes to their family life, choosing not to reveal their first child’s name or sex to the public.
Hudgens’ newest post sparked an outpouring of love and congratulations from celebrity friends. Actress Aly Michalka commented with an enthusiastic “Omg!!!!!!!! Congrats,” while fellow stars like Allison Holker, Alexandra Shipp, and Jenna Dewan shared warm wishes and heart emojis. Her Broadway co-star Corey Cott also chimed in with a simple, “Congrats V!”
Though Vanessa and Cole have largely shielded their private life from the spotlight, they were thrust into the media’s glare shortly after the birth of their first baby. Photos of Hudgens leaving the hospital in a wheelchair were published without consent, prompting her to speak out. “We’re disappointed that our family’s privacy was disrespected and exploited during this very special time due to the greed of a long lens camera feeding the media,” she wrote in a firm Instagram statement at the time.
Still, the couple hasn’t let outside noise dampen their happiness. Married in a romantic destination wedding in Mexico in December 2023, Hudgens and Tucker have embraced family life while continuing to pursue their respective passions. And Vanessa isn’t slowing down professionally either—she’s set to star in and produce Quiet Storm, a gripping dramatic thriller set in 1969. The film, which explores themes like women’s liberation and the Black Power movement against the backdrop of Hurricane Camille, marks Hudgens’ first major acting project since becoming a mom.
With another baby on the way and exciting projects ahead, it’s clear Vanessa Hudgens is entering a new season of life—one full of love, purpose, and a growing family to share it all with.
