Typhoon Boss, starring Lee Junho and Kim Min Ha, has quickly become one of the most talked-about K-drama releases this year. Fans had expected it to drop later in 2025, but according to What’s on Netflix, it’s now aiming for an October 4 premiere. The original network hasn’t confirmed anything yet, and it’s unclear if Netflix will air it globally, but people are hopeful it will reach multiple regions.

The drama is set in 1997 during the IMF crisis, a time when many businesses went under and people faced financial ruin. It focuses on the Typhoon Trading Company. After the death of his father, Kang Tae Poong, who had lived a carefree life, must take over the company and try to keep it running. With the economy in crisis, his task won’t be easy.

Oh Mi Seon, the company’s bookkeeper, steps up to help. She takes on many responsibilities and works alongside Tae Poong to save the business. Lee Junho plays Tae Poong, the hardworking new CEO, while Kim Min Ha is cast as the diligent and dependable Mi Seon.

The supporting cast is packed with talent, including Sung Dong Il as Kang Jin Yeong, Kim Ji Young as Jung Jeong Mi, Kim Min Seok as Wang Nam Mo, and Mu Jin Sung as Pyo Hyeon Jun, among others. Fans are excited to see how the story unfolds and how the characters navigate the challenges of that turbulent time.
