Global rap sensation Travis Scott surprised fans with a rare performance in Narre Warren, a suburb outside Melbourne, Australia, transforming District 14 nightclub into an international stage on Wednesday night. Fresh off his Circus Maximus Tour show at Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium, the “Sicko Mode” rapper took the unexpected detour 38 kilometers from the city’s CBD for an afterparty that is still the talk of the town.

District 14 owner Dominic Porter revealed on FoxFM’s Fifi, Fev & Nick show that Scott’s appearance required significant negotiation and a bit of luck. “It took a lot of time, a lot of money, and a lot of persuasion,” Porter said. He credited his business partner, Alex, for managing to connect with Scott’s management, securing a booking that put Narre Warren “on the map.” Despite host Brendan Fevola’s attempts to pry out the payment details, Porter remained mum on the specifics, hinting only that it was less than “a couple hundred thousand” dollars and that they had received a “mate’s rates” discount.

Adding to the buzz was Scott’s backstage rider: 15 bottles of Don Julio 1942 Tequila and 60 bottles of Clase Azul Tequila, luxury items that alone racked up an estimated $26,000. Porter confirmed Scott and his entourage were “fans of tequila,” underscoring the high-energy, high-cost ambiance surrounding the appearance.

While the Narre Warren afterparty was high-spirited, Scott’s Australian tour has not been without its controversies. His performances at Marvel Stadium on Tuesday and Wednesday were marked by chaotic scenes. Videos on social media captured fans clashing with security, with some individuals attempting to force their way into the mosh pit. In one alarming incident, a concertgoer reportedly sustained injuries after a security guard “fly-kicked” them, adding to the list of incidents that have plagued Scott’s tours worldwide.

Despite the intense moments, Scott’s appearance in Narre Warren was a massive coup for District 14. Porter hinted that Scott’s visit might only be the beginning, with the possibility of “bigger artists” making appearances at the club.

With Scott’s headline-grabbing performance, Narre Warren has temporarily become a hotspot, proving that even remote locations can draw major stars and epic crowds in today’s entertainment landscape.
