When Travis Scott makes headlines, it’s bound to be an attention-grabbing spectacle! The famed artist, known for hits like ‘Goosebumps,’ recently caused a viral stir with a rather unique onstage move.
During a show at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on December 19, Travis Scott fearlessly treated his audience to not just one but an astonishing ten consecutive performances of his track ‘FE!N,’ featuring Playboi Carti. While this repetition isn’t entirely new for Scott, he’s now unveiling the motivation behind this headline-grabbing performance.
Speaking openly with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show, Scott delved into the dynamics between himself and his fans that prompt such extraordinary performances. “I’ve got the most amazing fans ever, and I feed off their energy. They were electric that night, so I just cranked it up a notch,” he revealed.
In a candid conversation, the artist also teased a plan to take things up a notch at Madison Square Garden. Staying true to his word, not only did Scott perform “FE!N” a staggering 12 times consecutively, but he also surprised the audience by inviting rapper Sheck Wes on stage for an unreleased verse, providing over 40 minutes of the same song. The show concluded with two more renditions of ‘FE!N’ before Scott wrapped up the evening with ‘Telekinesis.’
However, Scott’s Brooklyn performance was more than just a repetitive showcase. It almost turned hazardous during his rendition of “Mafia” when a giant prop nearly collided with him on stage. Fortunately, Scott agilely avoided a potential mishap, swiftly evading the looming danger and continuing the show.
Both “FE!N” and “Mafia” hail from Scott’s latest album, Utopia, which has gained substantial success, earning a Grammy nomination for Best Rap Album. Recounting the exciting moment on The Tonight Show, Scott expressed his elation for the nomination, highlighting his commitment to music and his appreciation for the Academy.
In a significant turn, Scott also touched upon the tragic incident at Astroworld, marking his first public commentary on the matter since December 2021. Expressing deep devastation, he emphasized the bond with his fans and the impact of the unfortunate event on both them and their families, reflecting on the profound sense of loss and empathy for those affected.
