Travis Scott is officially returning with Jackboys 2, and the buzz surrounding the album is intense. After months of cryptic teases and mysterious social media posts, the rapper finally confirmed that the 17-track project will be released on July 13. The announcement has sent fans into a frenzy, especially considering that this will be Scott’s first major release since Utopia in 2022. The original Jackboys mixtape dropped in 2019 and featured collaborations with names like Don Toliver and Sheck Wes, helping solidify the collective’s unique sound under Scott’s Cactus Jack label.
This time around, Jackboys 2 is being promoted as a bolder and more expansive sequel, complete with trunk-shaking beats and star-studded features. Scott’s official post on Instagram included a flier with the tagline, “The Jack is back with 17 tracks full of trunk-rattling classics in the making.” His ability to create anticipation through visuals and atmosphere has always been part of his brand, and this rollout is no different. From performance teasers to high-energy trailers—one of which was reportedly directed by Harmony Korine—the project is being shaped as a larger-than-life musical event.
Among the standout details already revealed is the long-awaited collaboration with Texas legend Bun B, a pairing that fans have been eager to hear. In addition to him, the album appears to include contributions from a wide array of artists such as Tyla, GloRilla, SoFaygo, 21 Savage, SahBabii, Waka Flocka Flame, Kodak Black, and even Vybz Kartel. The diverse lineup hints at a sonically varied album that merges trap, dancehall, and other experimental flavors—all typical of Scott’s boundary-pushing style.
Scott also recently dropped a visual for 2000 Excursion, a high-energy track that includes appearances by longtime collaborators Sheck Wes and Don Toliver. In true Travis Scott fashion, fans were also treated to multiple editions of the Jackboys 2 cover art across different formats like vinyl, digital, and special collector’s items, showing the artist’s continued focus on aesthetic and branding.
As the father of two continues to evolve both personally and professionally, Jackboys 2 seems poised to be another defining entry in his discography. Whether you’re a long-time fan or just discovering the Cactus Jack world, July 13 will likely be a major day in the music world.
