Zendaya has long captured attention for her acting and style, but she has stayed private about her relationships. She is currently engaged to her Spider-Man co-star, Tom Holland. While neither of them has officially announced it, Zendaya showed off her ring at the Golden Globes afterparty earlier this year.
Before Holland, Zendaya was often linked to other co-stars and celebrities, which fueled online speculation. Early in her career, she was rumored to be dating Trevor Jackson after starring in his 2013 music video as his love interest. Zendaya later clarified to HipHollywood that Jackson was just a close friend, saying, “There’s going to be those [rumors]. But he’s my best friend in the whole world. I love him to death… That’s all it is.”
In 2016, she faced dating rumors with NFL star Odell Beckham Jr. after they were spotted leaving a party together. Zendaya’s father put the speculation to rest, explaining, “There’s no relationship. When you see my daughter out on a date without me, it’s a relationship. It’s like an audition. It’s an interview.”
Zendaya was also rumored to be dating Jacob Elordi, her co-star on Euphoria, after they were seen celebrating Thanksgiving together. There was never official confirmation, and eventually, she began dating Tom Holland. The couple has been together for five years, and Holland proposed, which Zendaya accepted. Their families have confirmed the engagement. People Magazine reported that someone close to the couple said, “He’s always been crazy about her. He always knew she was the one. They have something very special.”
On the work front, Zendaya and Holland will appear together in Spider-Man: Brand New Day and Christopher Nolan’s upcoming film, The Odyssey.
