Tom Holland recently worried fans when news broke that he had been injured while filming his upcoming Marvel movie, Spider-Man: Brand New Day. According to the Daily Mail, the 29-year-old actor suffered a mild concussion after a fall during stunt work. He was briefly hospitalised, which raised concerns not just about his health but also about delays to the highly anticipated film. Fans, however, can now breathe a sigh of relief, as Tom has made his first appearance since the accident.
Just days after the incident, Tom was spotted with his fiancée and Spider-Man co-star, Zendaya, at a charity event. The couple attended Christie’s auction house over the weekend, hosting The Brothers Trust’s Posh Pub Quiz. The foundation, run by Tom and his family, raises money for various UK charities. Despite the recent accident, Tom looked well and in good spirits, smiling for photos and chatting with guests.
During the event, Tom surprised everyone by taking the stage as the Quizmaster, with Zendaya standing by his side for support. The outing was one of their rare public appearances together, as they usually keep their relationship private.
The accident itself happened at Leavesden Studios in Watford while Tom was performing demanding stunts for the new Spider-Man film. He hit his head, causing a concussion. An ambulance took him to the hospital for observation, and his father, Dominic Holland, later confirmed that Tom would take some time off to recover. Reports suggest that production on Spider-Man: Brand New Day has been temporarily paused to accommodate his break.
Even with the accident, both Tom and Zendaya have busy work schedules. Tom will continue to play Peter Parker and is also working on Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, where he stars alongside Zendaya again. Zendaya herself is preparing for Dune 3, reuniting with Timothée Chalamet, Florence Pugh, Jason Momoa, Josh Brolin, and Robert Pattinson for the third installment of Denis Villeneuve’s sci-fi epic.
