Tom Cruise and Ana de Armas have been spotted out and about in London quite a bit lately, which has sparked rumors that they might be dating. But both stars have been clear that they’re just working together on some projects and there’s nothing romantic going on between them. Still, whenever they get a chance to talk about each other in interviews, they don’t hold back on the praise.
At the New York City premiere of Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning on May 18, Cruise had lots of nice things to say about Ana and her new movie Ballerina. He told Extra that Ana is a “very, very talented” actress who’s great at both drama and comedy, and that she learns quickly.
In another chat with Access Hollywood, he called her ability “incredible” and mentioned how great she was alongside Keanu Reeves in Ballerina, calling her a “great actress.”
While promoting his latest film in London, Cruise was asked about Ana’s upcoming John Wick spinoff movie. He said, “I just saw the movie — it kicks a*s.”
Ana herself confirmed on Good Morning America that she and Tom are definitely working on multiple projects together, not just one, with big names like Doug Liman and Christopher McQuarrie involved. She sounded really excited about it.
The two were first seen together in London back in February. At that time, Ana’s team told the media they were just talking about future collaborations.
They were also spotted arriving in London by helicopter in March for Ana’s birthday, along with director Doug Liman. And just recently, they were photographed leaving David Beckham’s 50th birthday party on May 3.
So, while there’s lots of buzz about them, it looks like it’s mostly about business and mutual respect for each other’s work right now.
