Tish Cyrus recently sparked some drama rumors with her daughter Miley Cyrus after she suddenly unfollowed Miley on Instagram. Naturally, fans started speculating about a possible falling out. But when people asked Tish what happened, she quickly cleared things up.

On May 7, when a fan asked why she unfollowed Miley, Tish responded, “Have no idea how that happened, but it’s fixed now!” She didn’t want anyone thinking there was trouble between them.

Then the next day, she posted on X (formerly Twitter), “I would never unfollow Miley. She and I are as close as we’ve always been. Period. Love you, Little.” Pretty clear she wanted to squash any rumors right away.

Miley has often talked about how much her relationship with her mom has grown stronger over the years. Tish has been by her side at tons of public events, including the 2025 Grammys where Miley won her first Grammy for her hit “Flowers.”

Back in June 2024, Miley opened up about her parents on David Letterman’s show My Next Guest Needs No Introduction. She said, “Honestly, my mom is my hero,” showing just how important Tish is to her.

Miley even honored her mom with the song Mother’s Daughter in 2019, and featured Tish in the music video. She called her mom a “BOSS LADY” and “most badass mom of all f–king time!” on Instagram when she announced the video.

Besides Miley, Tish shares four other kids—Brandi, Trace, Braison, and Noah—with ex Billy Ray Cyrus. Now, she’s married to actor Dominic Purcell. Throughout Miley’s rise from her Disney days to superstardom, Tish has been a rock and constant source of support.
