The third episode of Marvel’s latest series, Agatha All Along, has just dropped on Disney Plus, and it’s quite the wild ride! This episode follows Kathryn Hahn’s character, Agatha Harkness, and her new coven as they navigate the treacherous Witches’ Road, a magical realm only accessible to those who practice witchcraft.

As the episode kicks off, Agatha reveals that to reach the end of the Witches’ Road, she and her coven must complete several trials, each focusing on different aspects of witchcraft. The first trial is a potion challenge, where they enlist the help of Jennifer Kale, played by Sasheer Zamata, who is an expert in potions.

When the group enters a mysterious house, they stumble upon a bottle of wine and decide to share it (except for Teen, who’s underage). Things take a turn for the worse when Sharon Davis suddenly faints, and the others start experiencing strange symptoms. The trial has a twist: they have just 30 minutes to create an antidote before the house fills with water, putting everyone’s lives at risk.

Kale guides the group in finding the necessary ingredients for the antidote, which include frankincense, the eye of a newt, the blood of someone unpoisoned (in this case, Teen’s), and a strand of hair from each member of the coven. Despite facing intense personal hallucinations that make the task even harder, they manage to whip up the antidote just in time. Each member receives a dose, including the unconscious Sharon Davis.

After escaping the flooding house through a hidden oven exit, they face a shocking revelation: Sharon Davis has died. But how could this have happened after they made the antidote?

The answer lies in a detail that might have gone unnoticed. When the coven mixed their hair into the antidote, Sharon was unconscious and off-screen, which meant they accidentally left out her strand. This oversight likely resulted in the antidote failing to save her.

In an interesting twist, it seems that Funko Pop might have spoiled the secret of Aubrey Plaza’s character, Rio Vidal. Some packaging hints that she represents Death itself. If that’s the case, Sharon’s passing could open the door for Plaza’s character to join Agatha’s coven on their journey down the Witches’ Road. After all, when death occurs (with a lowercase “d”), the personification of Death (with a capital “D”) is often close behind!
