In the most recent episode of The Young and the Restless (aired May 14, 2025), drama was in full swing.

Phyllis tried her best to manipulate Victor into coming to the jazz lounge, hoping to bait him with some juicy gossip about what Billy might be secretly planning with Dumas. She was clearly trying to strike a deal. She even dragged her daughter Summer’s name into the mix and hinted that she could help him—if he gave her and her son a shot at a business opportunity. Basically, she offered him inside info in exchange for a leg up.

But Victor wasn’t having any of it. He didn’t take the bait and flat-out refused to make a deal. Before leaving, he gave Phyllis one of those classic Victor Newman power moves—reminding her exactly who he was dealing with. Undeterred, Phyllis didn’t give up. She immediately picked up the phone and called Dumas’ office herself, asking to speak to him directly. His assistant told her she’d pass along the message and then hung up. Still, Phyllis wasn’t discouraged. Clearly, she’s playing the long game.

Elsewhere, at the GCAC (Genoa City Athletic Club), Billy ran into Adam and Chelsea. The tension was thick. Billy was convinced that Victor was gearing up to ruin his reputation by launching a smear campaign in the media. He and Adam exchanged some heated words, with Chelsea trying to play peacemaker and defuse the situation.

After Adam walked off, Chelsea had a heart-to-heart with Billy. She asked him to stop retaliating, saying that Victor and Dumas were basically playing him like a pawn in their bigger game. Surprisingly, Billy agreed—for the moment, anyway. When Adam came back, Billy decided to hold off on any drama, at least temporarily.

Later, Victor showed up at the GCAC and threw some not-so-subtle jabs at Billy. Billy, standing his ground, told Victor that he wouldn’t be intimidated. If he was going to fail, he’d do it his own way—on his own terms. That was Victor’s cue to give Adam the green light to go ahead with the smear campaign.

Meanwhile, Dumas was seen discussing a business offer from Lily with Nate. He asked Nate if he had any issues with him joining the company. Nate seemed worried that his brother might be playing both sides, like a double agent. But Damian Dumas made it clear—this is where he wanted to be. Nate, cautiously optimistic, welcomed him aboard.
