On the June 4 episode of The Young and the Restless, Kyle Abbott made a bold move with Victor Newman. At the Newman ranch, Victor agreed to Kyle’s proposal but only after making him sign a contract filled with strict conditions. The deal was clear: if Kyle ever hurt Claire Newman, he’d owe Victor five million dollars and would have to leave town. Though Kyle wanted his lawyer to look over the contract first, Victor’s pressure pushed him to sign it right away. Kyle hoped this agreement would prove to Victor that he’s more than just Jack Abbott’s son and that he’s serious about his relationship with Claire.
Meanwhile, Audra Charles spent much of the episode trying to manage Victor’s rising impatience. She had plans to have lunch with Amy Lewis but had to rush off when Victor demanded a meeting. Victor criticized Audra, saying she wasn’t doing enough to break up Kyle and Claire. Audra explained that these things take time, but Victor insisted she act quickly before he left for France. Audra then suggested distracting Kyle by inviting him to Aristotle Dumas’ upcoming party and convinced Victor to help secure two invitations, promising to handle the rest herself.
In another storyline, Damian Kane, recently fired by Aristotle Dumas, met with Lily Winters at GCAC. He asked if Holden Novak could get a job at Winters. Lily agreed to speak with Devon and Nate about placing Holden in the hotel division. But when she later brought up the idea with Nate in the park, he expressed distrust toward Holden. Holden, on his part, blamed Damian for their firing and declined the offer to join Winters, saying it was time for a fresh start. Later, Holden opened up to Audra at Crimson Lights, while Amy comforted Damian and encouraged him to make peace with Holden.
At the tack house, Cole Howard was examined by a doctor who noticed troubling sounds in his chest and suspected pneumonia. He was sent to the hospital for further tests, with Victoria Newman accompanying him. Later, Claire Newman updated Kyle on her father’s health, expressing concern but finding comfort in Kyle’s kind words. When Claire asked about Kyle’s meeting with Victor, he said it went fine and promised to share more details later, leaving things on a hopeful note despite the tension.
