Netflix has officially confirmed the release of the Korean mystery thriller The Price of Confession. It will start streaming from December 5 and the show will have twelve episodes. A fresh teaser dropped on November 6 and it gives a quick look at the tense and unsettling story between the two main characters played by Jeon Do Yeon and Kim Go Eun.
The story follows An Yoon Soo, played by Jeon Do Yeon. She is an ordinary art teacher living a simple life until everything suddenly falls apart. Her husband is murdered and even though she keeps saying she is innocent, she is still sent to prison. While serving time, she meets Mo Eun, played by Kim Go Eun. Mo Eun has a scary reputation inside the prison and other inmates usually stay away from her. But the two women slowly build a strange connection and Mo Eun puts an offer on the table.
If An Yoon Soo wants to clear her name and escape the accusation of killing her husband, she must commit a real murder. This becomes the heart of the story. It shows the painful choice she faces and the twisted deal where someone else is willing to confess to a crime she did not commit, but only if she pays the price in a darker way.
The new teaser shows this tension clearly. An Yoon Soo’s odd behavior puts her under even more suspicion, while Mo Eun watches closely, ready to take advantage of the situation and make her own deal.
The Price of Confession is directed by Lee Jung Hyo, the creator behind Crash Landing on You and Doona. The script is written by Kwon Jong Kwan, known for Proof of Innocence. The show also stars Jin Seon Kyu, Park Hae Soo, Choi Young Joon, Nam Da Reum and others.
