Taylor Swift has spent $13,000 to preserve a unique and sentimental part of her Eras Tour—a massive 140-foot-long inflatable friendship bracelet that hung outside the Caesars Superdome during her sold-out shows in New Orleans in October 2024.
The bracelet, spelling out “Taylor Swift The Eras Tour,” became an iconic symbol of the event and was so large that forklifts were required to install it. Designed by Miami-based artist Shawn Kolodny and made of nylon, each bead stood about seven feet tall. The idea came from Abby Jones, the marketing director at ASM New Orleans, and was quickly approved by Swift’s team.
Swift’s personal company, Firefly Entertainment Inc., is handling the purchase, along with the shipping and delivery of the giant installation. The Louisiana Stadium and Exposition District is expected to approve the sale soon.
This giant prop isn’t just a keepsake—it represents a deeper connection to Swift’s fan culture. Inspired by the lyric “So make the friendship bracelets, take the moment and taste it” from her Midnights track “You’re On Your Own, Kid,” friendship bracelets have become a signature element of the Eras Tour. Fans worldwide now create and exchange them as part of the concert experience, sparking a huge rise in bracelet-making trends and materials.
The bracelet trend also played a role in Swift’s relationship with Travis Kelce. Kelce once revealed he tried to give Swift a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it during her Kansas City show. Though he didn’t succeed at the time, the gesture caught Swift’s attention—and eventually led to their real-life connection. Last Christmas, Kelce gifted Swift a $6,000 gold bracelet engraved with “TNT,” referring to their initials.
Now, Swift owns the ultimate symbol of this fan tradition—one big enough to wrap around a stadium.
