Jacob Elordi is set to captivate audiences in the highly anticipated series The Narrow Road to the Deep North, which has just released its first official trailer ahead of its April 18 release on Prime Video in Australia, New Zealand, and Canada. Based on Richard Flanagan’s Booker Prize-winning novel, the series follows Elordi in the role of a young Dorrigo Evans, a man whose life is deeply shaped by love, war, and the struggles of survival.

The story weaves through Evans’ passionate affair with Amy Mulvaney (played by Odessa Young), his traumatic experience as a prisoner of war, and his postwar life as a reluctant war hero and celebrated surgeon. Ciarán Hinds portrays the older Evans, reflecting on a life marked by profound emotional and moral complexities.

Directed by Justin Kurzel, with a screenplay by Shaun Grant, The Narrow Road to the Deep North has already garnered international acclaim, having premiered at the Berlinale. The series is set against the stunning backdrop of New South Wales, where it delves into the psychological toll war takes on Evans. The show has been praised for its emotional depth and its portrayal of a man forever haunted by the past while trying to move forward.
