K-dramas continue to dominate conversations this month as both new releases and returning favorites compete for audience attention. The Korean Business Research Institute’s latest brand reputation rankings show that Squid Game 3, starring Lee Jung Jae, claimed the top spot in July, knocking Our Unwritten Seoul—which had been a fan favorite in June—down to second place. Squid Game 3 received a brand reputation index of 7,984,003 and led in key metrics such as audience engagement, media coverage, and online buzz. Its association with Netflix also contributed to its global popularity and high visibility on viewership charts.
The monthly analysis, based on data collected between June 8 and July 8, 2025, evaluated each drama’s performance using multiple indicators, including consumer behavior and public interaction. Following closely behind the top two shows are Mercy for None, Good Boy, and For Eagle Brothers, all of which have also sparked considerable viewer interest. Other series like Head Over Heels, Queen’s House, and The Woman Who Swallowed the Sun have continued to maintain strong momentum due to their fresh narratives and standout performances.
With major upcoming dramas like Law and the City, featuring Lee Jong Suk and Moon Ga Young, and The Nice Guy, starring Lee Dong Wook and Lee Sung Kyung, the competitive landscape is expected to shift again soon. Suspense and thriller titles such as S Line, Low Life, Wall to Wall, The Defects, and Trigger are also generating buzz, indicating that audience appetite for darker, plot-driven stories remains strong. As these new shows debut, fans can expect more changes in the rankings in the coming weeks.
