These are the new, terrifying “super-smart” infected introduced earlier in the season—predators who stalk their prey with deadly intelligence. In the chaos that follows, Ellie gets pinned down while Dina runs out of ammo and is trapped.
Just when things look bleak, Jesse arrives to save them. He helps Ellie and Dina escape the building, but the WLF is hot on their trail. They find temporary refuge in a nearby park, but safety is short-lived. Seraphites swarm the area, creating a violent battlefield. A WLF soldier is brutally killed, Dina is struck with an arrow, and Ellie finds herself alone and hunted.
The tension peaks in a heart-pounding chase. Ellie narrowly escapes death and, in a desperate move, activates a blood-red emergency light. The episode ends with her fiercely swinging a metal pipe, ready to fight for her life.
