Netflix is not done with the women of Maple Brook. The Hunting Wives has officially been renewed for Season 2, and the chaos is only getting worse. The show that mixed wealth, power, desire, and crime is returning with more secrets and higher stakes.
Based on the novel by May Cobb, the series follows Sophie O’Neil, played by Brittany Snow. She is an outsider who moves to a rich Texas suburb because of her husband’s job. Life quickly changes when she meets Margo Banks, played by Malin Åkerman. Margo runs the social world of Maple Brook. She is charming, dangerous, and impossible to ignore. Their bond pulls Sophie into a world filled with lies, affairs, and violence.
Netflix confirmed the renewal in September with a cheeky message telling fans to get ready to return. By November, filming was officially underway. A behind the scenes photo confirmed that Sophie, Margo, and even Margo’s famous wig were back on set.

How The Hunting Wives Season 1 ended and what comes next
Season 1 ended in complete chaos. Margo’s affairs finally caught up with her. When Abby threatens to expose Margo’s secrets, Margo kills her to protect her image. Sophie is framed as the suspect. Another death follows. Jill is shot. The case is closed, but nothing is truly resolved.
The final twist changes everything. Sophie kills Margo’s brother Kyle after he threatens her. She covers it up and hears Margo defending her on the phone. By the end, Sophie is no longer innocent. Margo is alone. Several people are dead. The damage is permanent.
Season 2 picks up with Sophie and Margo no longer on good terms. Old secrets refuse to stay buried. New enemies appear. Circumstances force the two women back together. The question driving the season is simple. Are they in control, or are they about to become the next victims?
