The ongoing feud between Jimmy Kimmel and George Santos escalated when Santos joined the platform Cameo after his ousting from Congress. Santos began creating personalized video messages for fans, charging a considerable amount per video. The move proved to be immensely profitable for him, as he reportedly made substantial earnings within a short time span, surpassing what he would have earned as a politician in a year.
Kimmel, seizing the opportunity, featured a segment called “Will George Say It?” on his late-night show. Kimmel’s team submitted outrageous and fictitious requests for personalized videos from Santos on Cameo. The requests were then aired on the show, with Santos unknowingly recording and delivering these unconventional messages. One such example included a message about cloning a dog, Adolf.
Upon learning that his Cameo videos were being used on “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” Santos demanded $20,000 from Kimmel for using his footage without consent. Kimmel jokingly remarked on his show about the possibility of being sued by Santos, which eventually happened when Santos took legal action against Kimmel for using his footage without proper compensation or consent.
Santos’s decision to join Cameo after leaving Congress turned out to be financially rewarding. He received numerous requests for personalized videos, charging a high price per order. Sources indicated that he earned a substantial amount in just a few days, making significantly more than what he would have made as a politician in a year. Santos openly acknowledged the financial success he achieved on Cameo, attributing the idea to a colleague’s suggestion and stating that it surpassed his income as a congressman.
In the midst of his Cameo success, Santos made headlines for delivering personalized videos to fans and, despite the controversy, appeared to revel in the attention and earnings generated through the platform.
