Usher is facing criticism after a viral video captured him appearing to shout at a hotel staff member in Paris. The incident occurred while the singer was staying at the hotel during his European music tour, and a witness recorded the exchange. In the footage, Usher is seen displaying what many fans interpreted as disrespect toward the employee, particularly when he asked a doorman to hold the door open for him as he left the hotel after his luxurious stay.
The clip quickly spread on social media, sparking outrage among fans. Many users took to Twitter and other platforms to voice their disapproval. One commenter wrote, “He is rude; the least he could have done would have been to open the door for the woman accompanying him or politely ask the employee to do so.” Another fan criticized Usher’s behavior, saying, “But who does he think he is? He’s unknown to the battalion with that smile on his face. The guy can’t even think to open the door for the girl with him but demands it be held for him — what a f***ing diva.” A third person added, “They have so much money that they think they’re superhuman. A little humility wouldn’t hurt him. I find it detestable — he poops like everyone else.”
Despite the backlash, some fans defended Usher, arguing that the doorman’s failure to do his job properly was the real issue. One supporter commented, “It’s the doorman’s job to open the doors! He’s paid for that. Why isn’t he at his post? Usher doesn’t make a fuss and points it out rather politely. But since it’s filmed and posted on social media, people are getting worked up over nothing, as usual.”
This controversy comes after Usher’s successful shows in London, where he performed at sold-out concerts at the O2 Arena. During one of his sets, he surprised fans by bringing out special guests Estelle and Craig David, generating excitement and adding to his positive tour moments. However, this recent viral incident has shifted the spotlight to a less favorable side of the singer.
