The Conjuring series is gearing up for one final chapter. Warner Bros. just dropped the trailer for The Conjuring: Last Rites, and Ed and Lorraine Warren are back for one last showdown with creepy supernatural forces.

Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga are reprising their roles as the famous paranormal investigators. New cast members joining the team include Ben Hardy and Mia Tomlinson.

While James Wan directed the first two Conjuring films, Michael Chaves, who’s also known for directing The Curse of La Llorona and The Nun II, is back to direct this final installment. The script was co-written by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick and Chaves.

The story, according to IMDb, follows Ed and Lorraine as they face their last terrifying case involving mysterious, otherworldly entities.

The movies are based on actual investigations by the Warrens, which adds a layer of real-life creepiness. The franchise, including its spin-offs like Annabelle and The Nun, has raked in over $2 billion worldwide so far. For context, the first Nun movie earned $365 million globally, and The Nun II pulled in $269 million last year.

The Conjuring: Last Rites is set to hit theaters on September 5.
